WWW / WEB

UNDERSTANDING WWW / WEB
World Wide Web (abbreviated to WWW and Web) is an information space used by global identifiers called Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) to identify useful resources. The WWW is often seen as the same as the Internet as a whole, although it is really only part of it.

  • WWW (World Wide Web), is a collection of web servers from around the world whose function is to provide data and information to be used together. WWW or so-called Web is the most interesting part of the Internet. Through the web, it can access information that is not only in the form of text but can also be in the form of images, audio, video and animation.
  • WWW or Web facilities are relatively new compared to email, actually WWW is a collection of documents that are very much located on a computer server (web server), where these servers are spread across five continents, and are connected to one via a network....
  • Internet. These information documents are stored or created in HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) format. An information document page can consist of text that is related to other text or even with other documents. This linkage of pages through text is called hypertext. This information document does not only consist of text but can also be images, contains audio or sound and even video clips. Such linkages between documents are called hypermedia.

So it can be concluded that the WWW is a group of multimedia documents that are connected using hypertext links. By clicking on the hyperlink, you can move from one document to another.

URL (UNIFORM RESOURCE LOCATOR)

The term URL, which stands for Uniform Resource Locator (if translated: Uniform Resource Locator), is a series of characters according to a certain standard format, which is used to indicate the address of a source such as documents and images on the Internet.

URL is a basic innovation for the development of Internet history. The URL was first created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1991 so that document writers could refer to links to the World Wide Web. Since 1994, the concept of URL has been developed into a more general term Uniform Resource Identifier (URI). However, the term URL is still widely used.

URL indicates an Internet resource or the address of a web page (homepage), which is the page of a document or program that you want to display or use. In general, you need to enter three pieces of information to get to a specific address, namely:

  • Protocol
  • Server Address
  • File Path
The first part of the URL indicates a protocol such as http: // or https: //. Protocol is a mutual agreement used to communicate with the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. The second part of the URL indicates the address of the server where the resource is located, for example www.microsoft.com for the Microsoft Corporation website. The third part of the URL is the file path, which shows the location and name of the document or program on the server, for example

kb / desktop / word / q1974.html.

Where kb / desktop / word / is the location of the file and q1974.html is the name of the file with the topic and purpose of the blog user.

SITE

UNDERSTANDING THE SITE

Web site (often shortened to the course site; web site, site) is the designation for a group of web pages (web page), which are generally part of a domain name (domain name) or subdomain on the World Wide Web (WWW) in Internet.

  • The WWW consists of all web sites available to the public. The pages of a website are accessed from a URL which becomes the "root", which is called the homepage (parent page; often translated as "homepage", "home page" or web page), and is usually stored on the same server. Not all websites can be accessed for free. Some web sites require payment in order to become customers, for example sites that display pornography, news sites, electronic mail services (e-mail), and others.
  • In terminology, a website is a collection of site pages, which are usually encapsulated in a domain or subdomain, which is located on the World Wide Web (WWW) on the Internet. A web page is a document written in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) format, which is almost always accessible via HTTP, a protocol that conveys information from a website server for display to users via a web browser. All the publications from these websites can form a very large information network.
  • The pages of the website will be accessible via a URL which is commonly called the Homepage. This URL organizes the pages of the site into a hierarchy, although, the hyperlinks on the page organize the readers and tell them the overall structure and how this information flows. Some websites require a subscription (input data) so that users can access some or all of the contents of the website. For example, there are several business sites, free e-mail sites, which require sub-descriptions in order for us to access these sites.

UNDERSTANDING BLOG

  • Blog is a form of Web Application. Basically it is a part of a website that can be accessed online which has the main function of loading articles and images (contained in posts) on every web page. Blogs are usually managed by a single user (some by multiple authors) made according to the topic and purpose of the blog user.

Media Blog was first popularized by blogger.com, owned by the Pyra Labs company which was distributed in August 1999. Due to its popularity, Pyra Labs was finally acquired by Google at the end of 2002. Since then, there have been many Open Source applications that are intended to the development of the blog writers.

Blog Function

  • The function of a blog is basically as a publication medium to channel ideas or diary notes through the articles that are included in the posts. In today's development, blogs can be used to make money through advertisements installed on blogs. To be able to make money, of course the blog must have visitors / visitors.

How to create a blog

  • The first step before creating a blog, you must have an email or electronic mail (Email). Email is needed when you want to register a blog later. If you don't have an Email yet, you can create one on a free email provider site, such as: Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.
